Casa Bernabe

A Home for God’s Kids in Managua, Nicaragua
Sponsored by NCCC’s Women’s Ministry

Casa Bernabe is an orphanage for children ages 4-18, just outside of Managua, Nicaragua.  It is home for about 80 children who have been victims of extreme poverty, neglect, abuse or abandonment.

The Grounds

The grounds of Casa Bernabe include boys and girls dorms for ages 4-14, an older boys house, an older girls house, a sewing room, a bakery, a multi-purpose cafeteria, a school for Casa Bernabe kids and children from the community, and a playground.  There is also a working farm with a variety of fruits and vegetables.  Accommodations for groups visiting the orphanage are also included on the property.

The Needs

The children of Casa Bernabé are loved deeply and taken care of by the staff.  The buildings are functional and quite pleasant.  They were renovated in 2001 through a gift from the Duchess of the country of Luxembourg.  However, the needs of the children for food, clothing, and education are continual and dependent upon donations and support from the outside.

Casa Bernabé kids also have a great need for a “caring connection” with other adult role models.  They are grateful for the opportunity to connect with others through letters, photos, and personal visits.

Get Involved

We invite you to become a sponsor of a child at Casa Bernabe.  Sponsors donate $25.00 per month, per child, to insure that each child has adequate food and clothing.  A sponsor can also be a source of encouragement to the child, becoming a prayer buddy and writing notes to the child.  Sponsors receive a photo and brief biography of the child, as well as tools to help in correspondence.

Please consider making a real difference in a child’s life at Casa Bernabe.

Village Transformation: Manhari

Village Transformation: Manhari, Upper Egypt

Through sponsoring children, we are helping to holistically transform lives
for the neediest in this poor village during an especially challenging time.

Sponsor a Child You can be a part by sponsoring a child. The $30 monthly sponsorship provides a child and their family with access to Jesus, education and health.  There is a full-time Healing Grace staff member who regularly visits their home to encourage them, pray with them, and ensure their needs are being met.  Please request a child from the village of Manhari in order to receive a child in the village we sponsor through NCCC.
Give to the Project You can also contribute directly to the project. These funds go toward the programs that transform the whole village like a water filtration system, AWANA Discipleship Clubs, Medical Clinic, family training, retreat weekends for the kids, training for the staff and much more. To give directly to this project, click here.
Watch a Video Enjoy a short video taken while a team from NCCC was visiting Manhari for the first time in 2011. We delivered food to the families of the sponsored children, visited while the staff conducted a Medical Clinic, took part in AWANA clubs and played with the kids.
