Welcome to Men’s Ministry

Welcome From the Pastor

Welcome to the Men’s Ministry of North Coast Calvary Chapel. Our mission is to love God, love others, serve and change our world. The call is to radical discipleship, to be a follower of Christ no matter the cost. It is neither cheap nor easy. But it is the greatest adventure life affords. There are many opportunities for you to join with other like-minded men who are serious about this mission, this cause, this call. Our purpose is to help men CONNECT, GROW, and SERVE through the opportunities listed below.

Welcome and may God richly bless you in the journey!

ROMAN ROAD

image

Have you ever wanted to be in a men’s bible study environment that was non-threatening, interactive, welcoming, and exciting?
ROMAN ROAD is just such an environment. Each week we gather in the Alcove just off the Foyer in the Family Center to study God’s Word.
The goal is to build better men so that “we might present every man perfect in Christ.” So the goal of our instruction is love for God our family, and friends.

This Spring’s step by step journey will be in the Psalms, which have long been used as the worship vocabulary of the church.
The Psalms are filled with every emotion common to men. So no matter the condition of your heart or the circumstances of life, you will find yourself in the Psalms.

Arranged into 5 books, and written by many authors, the most noted writer is of course, King David the warrior-worshiper.
Each week we will focus on a Psalm and go through it verse by verse and apply it to our lives.
Join us for an exciting study of discovery in the Psalms beginning Monday, February 4 at 7 pm in the Alcove. Sign up online or at the Men’s Table.

The Power Room

image

Taken from the legendary British preacher, C.H. Spurgeon, this is a monthly gathering of men learning to pray bigger prayers, bringing the Kingdom of God,
and praying for our nation, our cities, our families. The apostle Paul encourages men to “lift up holy hands.” Men learn to pray by praying.
Men gather to pray the 2nd Saturday of each month from 7-8 am in the Fireside Room. Come and exercise your faith with us.

Band of Brothers

image

We are Men gathering outside on Tuesday nights at 5:50 pm in the Fireside Room or Tent—depending on the night. Our mission is to learn to love Jesus and each other. Come right after work and enjoy an amazing time of fellowship, someone shares something from the Bible, someone else shares their story,  dinner and dessert for a suggested donation of $7. Acoustic worship, Word, and good conversation. Great way to connect and make some new friends.
For more information, email Joe Irwin

Theme: Connection: Discipleship

For this purpose also I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me.” Colossians 1:28-29

Goal: To help every man grow deeper in relation to Jesus Christ through a meaningful discipleship-friendship connection.

Through noted national speakers and authors, Dr. Gary Oliver and Dr. Norman Wright, we are challenged to make lasting friendships that communicate truth,
to pour into the next generation, and to keep ourselves in the love of God.

Guerrilla Cell Groups

image

What’s a Guerrilla Cell Group? Radical discipleship in our culture.  Men simply being with Jesus and with one another, reading His Word, and sharing stories within the Greater, Bigger Story of God, and what He is doing. Contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), and be encouraged to a deeper walk with Christ in a fresh way.

Trust

Be assured of what you believe! Trust is a one-on-one opportunity for men to become convinced of the reality of Christ and the truth of God’s promises. It’s a 7-week study: Assurance of Salvation, Answered Prayer, Victory Over Temptation, Forgiveness of Sin, Guidance, Learning to Read/Study the Bible, and
Learning to Share Your Own Story. Contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) We’re also looking for Trust Partners, late 20’s and older, who love the Lord, to take individuals through this 7-week focus, followed by intentional steps of getting them more connected in the church.

Trust Partners need to:
- Clearly articulate their faith in Christ
- Be willing to follow a prescribed format, meeting with 1-3 people at a time
- Submit a leadership form committing to this ministry
- Attend a get-acquainted meeting,
- Attend a brief orientation session.

SERVE

Military Chaplain Volunteer Pray Partners Needed at Edson Range

Can you imagine standing in the back of the room as 400 Marine Recruits jump to their feet, lock arm in arm with their buddies and begin to worship God, singing at the top of their lungs, and with complete abandon? Can you imagine the joy of praying over a young recruit as he comes up to you during the service? This experience can be yours as you join the team of committed men, military or ex-military, ministering each week at Edson Range on Camp Pendleton. The commitment is one Sunday every 3 months. The qualifications are a consistent walk with Christ, male, military current or ex, prayer skills, and a heart for the military. Brief training is available. If you are interested, .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

Military Support Network and Military Prayer Teams

Volunteer sign ups are taken regularly between services at the Info Central tables in the Piazza. We need good gently used furniture, dishes, tableware. You can also donate a Gift Card from Ralphs or any of the local Supermarkets to a military family whose loved one is serving on the front lines in Afghanistan or Iraq.  Pick up self addressed stamped envelopes and write to recruits who either rededicated their lives to Christ, or recently became new believers. Stop by the MSN Table this week to pick up instructions on who to contact at the Base, or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
