WELCOME TO MINISTRY THROUGH SPORT
Because sports is a ready-made highway into our community and our culture, here at North Coast Calvary Chapel we have chosen to travel on it to reach those around us with the love of Christ. Sports provides a bridge which connects people with a common passion, and connection is the beginning of relationship that can result in the building of the Kingdom.
Sports also offers an opportunity to teach young people biblical values in an experiential context. Through special events such as KidsGames—where over 1,300 kids invade our property for a high-energy week of sports, activities and exposure to the Gospel—and The Edge—KidsGames all grown up for high school students—and MaxSportCamp—six separate weeks of camps where elementary school kids learn biblical values through sports—NCCC Ministry through Sport is traveling that ready-made highway.
If you want to be a part of this exciting and fun-filled ministry through sports, please feel free to contact Ministry through Sport Director Debbie Walton at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call (760) 929-0029 Ex. 141.

The Bridge Conference
Because sport opens doors to the gospel and discipleship in astonishing ways, it truly forms a bridge across cultural, generational and racial barriers. Now in its seventh year, we are hosting the Bridge Conference to bring in international leaders to share this vision with believers and help them develop local and national sports ministries.
Not only will this conference connect participants to what is happening in sports ministry internationally, it will also explore sport ethics, sport ministry leadership and sport methods. This interactive training will include:
* what the Bible says about Sport
* sharing the gospel through your story
* developing effective leadership
* teaching that transforms through experiential learning
Level One - November 4-8, 2013
Cost: $225.00

MAX Sport

Max Sport Summer Camp is North Coast Calvary Chapel’s value-based sports camp. In a humble effort to demonstrate gospel fruit at work in the hearts of God’s children, Max Sport is focused on the overflow of a faith-fueled life. The camp will teach the fruits of the spirit as moral values in the midst of a fun, simple and healthy competitive sports atmosphere.
Unlike the world-renowned Kids Games, Max Sport works on a smaller scale and emphasizes a more personal atmosphere. The focus is modeled after gospel values rather than the gospel message itself. Each day will start with stretching to ensure safety and proper form. This is followed by coached clinics in the various sports offered. Every camper then will practice different CORE strengthening exercises with snack and hydration times in between.
Value(s) taken from Galatians 5:22-23 will theme each day of the week ensuring that every child will end the mornings upbeat, encouraged, and full of smiles for the ride home. Just be there, it’s beyond epic.

MTS Bridge Conference
The Bridge Conference 2012
There are very few inroads to any community as wide-open as sports. Sport is a universal language—a ready made highway on which to travel to reach and disciple people for Jesus Christ. Show up in any culture in any corner of the earth with a ball and an instant connection occurs. Relationship begins, friendships develop, and the opportunity for sharing faith in a personal and meaningful way is born.
God has used sports ministry powerfully all over the world as a bridge to culture. For the last several years I have traveled extensively partnering with nationals to develop sports ministries within their communities. In spite of the fact that many of these countries are resistant or even restricted to evangelism, we have discovered that through sport we can go anywhere. Sport truly is a wide bridge to culture all over the globe.
This November, North Coast Calvary Chapel is hosting an International Sports Leadership Training Conference. It is an opportunity for you to receive hands-on training from international leaders in global sports strategies to equip you to use sports to evangelize and disciple the unchurched in your communities. Trainers from around the world will share strategic techniques for developing a sports ministry specific to your community. Pastors, leaders, and anyone passionate about sport will be inspired by and given the tools they need to either begin a sports ministry or take theirs to a new level.
Level One - November 5-10, 2012
Cost: $225.00
Level Two - November 1 - November 10, 2012
Cost: $325.00
