Candy Runner

Please be sure to read these volunteer instructions so you will know what to do at Harvest Party.

STEP

WHAT TO DO

1 Please aim to arrive extra early to allow time for parking and checking in at our designated volunteer check-in table.

2 Check in at our designated volunteer table, located in front of the Family Center. Receive a name tag, check the map for room A105, and head over to the candy room. Please be sure to make note of the location of the first aid station and the security teams for safety purposes.

3 Once you’ve arrived at Room A105, Check in with your zone leader who will be wearing an orange “STAFF”shirt.

4 Set Up:

• Fill buckets to a level that is comfortable for you to carry without hurting yourself or spilling candy

• Put one bucket of candy in each of the game booths and at each of the rides

5 Activity Time: HAVE FUN!!

• When all areas have candy it is your responsibility to keep them full! We will assign zones for each person to keep candy full in a particular area.

• If you need anything, ask your zone leader.

• Come back to Room A105 before the end of your shift to find your replacement and to give them directions

6 Shift change – Please wait until you have been replaced before you leave your post and make sure the new person is familiar with what they are doing and what area is theirs to cover. Thank you, now go play!

CLEAN UP TIME:

If you are the last shift, please help us clean up!

  • Bring all candy buckets, empty candy barrels, and signs to the bottom of the exterior stairway of the Family Center that leads to the NCCC offices. That is our staging area for clean up. (Please keep game items together in the bin so we can store them together for next year!)
  • If you want to stay later and help others break down the booths and do more clean up, we would greatly appreciate your help. If not, you are free to go. Thank you for helping make the Harvest Party a fun event for kids and their families!
