I write to you with a heavy heart and difficult news. Our beloved friend and brother, Jason Poznaks, has gone home to be with the Lord. After a hard-fought battle with brain cancer the last two and a half years, Jason passed away this afternoon with his family by his side.
I want to ask you to pray for Jason’s wife Natalie and his two sons Ethan and Seth during this painfully difficult time. I know they are so thankful for all of your love and support throughout this journey and will be grateful for continued prayer in the coming days and weeks.
Jason’s passing is a staggering loss for the Poznaks family and also for our church community. Jason served as our Children’s Pastor for many years and touched the lives of countless kids and families with his loving care, creativity, sense of humor and great passion for the Lord. In this time of grief, we lean into Jesus and cling to the promise in scripture that nothing, not even death, can separate us from His love. Though we are full of sorrow at the loss of our dear friend, we give thanks that Jason is no longer suffering and we rejoice that he is now in the loving arms of his Savior experiencing unimaginable joy.
Right now we are asking for no calls or visits to the Poznaks home but please join me in praying earnestly for this dear family. As plans come together for a service to celebrate Jason’s life we will post that information on this page. We will post updates as they become available.
With love in Christ,
In lieu of flowers, the family expressed their wish for contributions to be made to one of Jason’s favorite charities at Logosdor.com. Or you can support personal financial needs for Natty and the boys HERE.
We held a memorial service on Saturday, January 3. You can watch the service HERE.
Do you have a story about our beloved friend that you’d like to share with us?
