In-Service Ministry

Transformed People, Transforming Our World

Welcome to In-Service

The In-Service Ministry consists of usher, greeter, prayer,  and hospitality that welcome and assist people at church services. Another area to serve during the week is “In-Service Support” through being a kitchen angel or bulletin stuffer.

The usher and greeter duties include welcoming, greeting, collecting the offering, assisting with communion, distributing bulletins, and counting attendees. Hospitality team duties include preparing and serving refreshments after services.  The prayer team duties include praying for those who wish to be prayed for after services.

Serve the basic needs of the people attending NCCC so that they are free to focus on the worship and teachings of Christ at the church services.  We do this by:  welcoming and guiding the people, serving them during the service and protecting the service from distractions.  As an usher you may be asked to pass out bulletins, address emergencies, collect offering, count offering, and prepare and serve communion.

Greet, handout bulletins and direct people who come to NCCC services to the love of God.  This may be done before, during and after services and is accomplished by personally approaching as many people as possible with an appropriate greeting and answering questions they may have about the church.

Share the love of Christ with all that come to NCCC through the service of refreshments (food & drink).  You are often the first point of contact with newcomers.  As you serve you may have opportunity to introduce them to Church leadership, mature Christians and regular attendees of NCCC, answer their questions and direct them to Church resources.  Hospitality servers are asked to make coffee, carry heavy containers, prepare food and clean up.

Prayer Team

Pray for, listen to and direct the person/persons, who come forward at the end of the church service, to Jesus Christ, who can and will meet their needs.  This is accomplished by prayer and direction toward ministries in the church which might be helpful to them.

Serving the body of North Coast Calvary through the kitchen.  Once a week stock and clean the kitchen.  A great behind the scenes job that is so important.  Time is as little as 2 hours but could be up to 4 hours as needed.

A behind the scenes job yet important helping the lost items find their way back to their owners.  Once a week you will label and date new lost items and place them in the lost and found cabinet.  You will need to contact the owners of Bibles and books that are left behind.  The time commitment will be 1 to 2 hours.
