Frequently Asked Questions

what can I Expect?

What Should I Wear?

While we are serious about our faith and practice in Jesus Christ, we are typically dressed casually and comfortably. Attire ranges from business casual to fresh-off-the-beach. Come as you are! (Although we do prefer no narrow heeled shoes in our Auditorium to help us care for the wood floor.) Our desire is for you to feel comfortable and welcome.

Tell me about the Services

Our services consist of contemporary music and utilizes a band (keys, electric/acoustic/bass guitars, drums, percussion, and occasional surprises) with vocals. Although it is contemporary, there is an appropriate and occasional mix of traditional songs (with current arrangements) mixed in. We offer solid and practical Biblical teaching, usually in a single Book with occasional topical messages, along with a monthly communion and weekly offering. Our Sunday services run approximately 1 hour at  9:00am, 11:00am and 6:00pm.

Will I see different venues?

On Saturday and Sunday evenings, we have one venue in our main auditorium with live worship and teaching. On Sunday mornings, we continue with our live venue in the auditorium, but also offer the message streamed into our more intimate chapel, along with a different set of live worship. All services and venues experience offerings, video presentations and communion.

What Is available for my children through young adults?

On Saturday Nights and Sunday Mornings, we are excited about our Children’s programs (birth through 3rd grade), 4th-6th grades, Junior High (7th-8th grades), and High School (9th-12th grades). During the week we provide  Jr. High & High School programs, and NEXTGEN (18-35 yr olds). Please click on the MINISTRY drop-down menu at the top of the web page to see all of the ministries we offer.

We often have other ministry tables and special events, and sometimes fundraisers. On Sunday mornings out on our piazza, you find a number of ministry tables, including the INFORMATION and free coffee tables. Also, there area number of weekly or monthly adult classes, workshops and trainings. Please see the bulletin or pick up an Upcoming Events sheet at the Information table.

Our Story Caffe is also open for food and beverages: Saturdays (4pm – 7pm) and Sundays (8am – 8pm). The Caffe is also open Monday-Friday (8am -8pm).

What Should I know about the offering

If you are our guest at church, we do not expect you to give. Please feel comfortable letting the offering bag pass by you. However, when you begin to make NCCC your home, we encourage you to commit to tithing an amount the Lord guides you to give, and participate as you feel led with our special offerings. We also provide online giving for your convenience.

Tell me about Calvary Chapels

Calvary Chapel is a loose affiliation of churches that share a common emphasis on verse-by-verse expository teaching, evangelism and the grace of God. Each Calvary Chapel is self-governing and financially independent. Here at North Coast Calvary Chapel we are governed by a Board of Directors. They are responsible for setting and approving the church’s budgets and policies.
