Welcome to Prayer Ministry

Welcome to North Coast Calvary Chapel’s Prayer Ministry. We would like to release you to change your world through the power of prayer. E.M. Bounds, perhaps the father of the modern prayer movement, wrote over a century ago, “God hears prayer, God heeds prayer, God answers prayer, and God delivers by prayer. These words cannot be spoken too often. Prayer breaks all bars, dissolves all chains, opens all prisons, and widens all straits by which God’s saints have been held.”

Please contact me if I can help you in your pursuit of God and His will through prayer. To submit a prayer request Click Here.

Prayer Groups

Prayer Portico Join us outside of A-106 (Sunday morning services only) to receive personal prayer from our Prayer Team.

Personal Prayer

Mondays mornings (except holidays) 10:30am-1:00pm, Family Center Foyer
Come and receive personal prayer and experience the power of God.
What makes Monday Prayer time different?
* It’s private, extended prayer time with a team of 2 or 3 people…
* It’s the power of agreement of 2 or more…“For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:20
* It’s persistent…  We will stand with you through the storm of chronic illness, difficulties in marriage, family issues, or if you just want more of Jesus. “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16

Prayer for The Church & Our Nation

2nd Thursday of every month, 10:00am-11:00am in Room A-105
The Lord directs us to be committed to intercede for His Church and our Nation in prayer and to gather in groups.  This group provides a safe place to pray together for revival for His Church and our Christian values and to pray for leaders and all those in authority. Our prayers include our Judiciary and legislation that affects our Christian values, our Military and their families, wars and terrorism, foreign interests and conflicts, the economy and health care issues, Israel and the Middle East, tragedies like what happened in Newtown, CT and more… Our goal is to see our Nation turn back to the Lord and pray He will come and heal our land.  We are not political and don’t cover personal prayer in this group. All are welcome to join us to pray.  For more info contact Nancy at x158

Prayer News

National Day of Prayer

“The 63rd annual National Day of Prayer, Thursday, May 1, 2014, will have profound significance for our country.  It is an unprecedented opportunity to see the Lord’s healing and renewing power made manifest as we call on citizens to humbly come before His throne.”

“The theme for 2014 is One Voice, United in Prayer, emphasizing the need for individuals, corporately and individually, to place their faith in the unfailing character of their Creator, who is sovereign over all governments, authorities, and men.  To further highlight our theme, we’ve chosen Romans 15:6 as our Scripture for this year:  “So that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

2014 Prayer for National Day of Prayer to be prayed at Noon around the country

Lord of the Universe. Lord of this planet. Lord of the nations. Lord of our hearts. On this National Day of Prayer, we look to You…
In the darkness, You are our Light.
In the storm, You are our Anchor.

In our weakness, You are our Strength. In our grief, You are our Comfort.
In our despair, You are our Hope.
In our confusion, You are our Wisdom. In time of terrorism, You are our Shield. In time of war, You are our Peace.

In times of uncertainty, You are the Rock on which we stand.

We make our prayer to You using the words of the prophet Daniel:

O Lord, You are the great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant of love with those who love Him and keep His commandments. You are merciful and forgiving. You are righteous, but this day we are covered with shame because we have sinned against You, and done wrong. We have turned away from Your commands and principles. We have turned away from You.

Yet You have promised in 2 Chronicles 7, that if we–a people identified with You–would humble ourselves, pray, seek Your face, and turn from our wicked ways, then You would hear our prayer, forgive our sin and heal our land.

So we choose to stop pointing our finger at the sins of others, and examine our own hearts and lives. We choose to acknowledge our own sin–our neglect and defiance and ignorance and even rejection of You. This day we choose to repent.

In response to our heartfelt repentance, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Father of Jesus Christ, in keeping with all Your righteous acts and according to Your promise, turn away Your anger and Your wrath from the United States of America. Hear the prayers and petitions offered to You on this National Day of Prayer, as we give You our full attention. Give ear, our God, and hear; open Your eyes and see. We do not make requests of You because we are righteous, but because of Your great mercy.

For the glory of Your Name hear our prayer, forgive our sin, and heal our land.

We ask this in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ who offers us salvation from Your judgment, forgiveness for our sin, and reconciliation with You through His own blood shed on the Cross. Amen.

Pray With Us

Pray with us for our Church, ministries, missions, and ongoing building project.

Pray with us for Our Nation

Pray for our local, state, and national leaders to seek and ask God to grant them wisdom, discernment, and hearts that are open to His leading.
Pray for revival of the Churches and Church Leaders throughout our nation and in your community.  Ask God to preserve and protect them, as He inspires and empowers them to equip His ‘Saints’ for ministry.
Pray for our Military and its leaders.  Pray for God to grant courage, protection, and strength for them and their families.
Pray for families in our nation, your state, and throughout your community.  Pray for the Lord to protect and strengthen marriages, encourage parents, and bring healing to relationships.
Pray for God’s presence in our schools, colleges, and universities.  Ask Him to select teachers and administrators who honor His statutes, protect our children, and inspire them to discover their God-given calling.
Pray for Christian influence in the media, from movies, television, and radio, to newspaper and magazine publishers.
Pray for divine intervention in our national, state, and local economies.  Ask God to raise up godly business leaders and create industry to provide honest employment and generous provision for individuals and families in each community.
